The project, which we embarked on together with Albatros, the publishing house, and Antalis, the paper supplier, is in its final stages. Two thousand Czech-Ukrainian dictionaries have left the premises of our printing house and going to charitable organizations (Red Cross (Červený kříž), People in Need (Člověk v tísni), etc.). These organizations will then redistribute these dictionaries to the Czech-based Ukrainian refugees in need as soon as possible, helping them to make their circumstances more tolerable as much as possible. All stakeholders participated in the project without compensation.
More than 300,000 refugees, mostly women and children, have fled to the Czech Republic since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. They had to get back to “normal” life, find a job or start school as soon as possible. We believe that this humanitarian gesture will help the people who need it most at the moment.
